PENSACOLA--The Southeastern Lady Fire basketball team defeated Pensacola Christian College, 60-55, Tuesday night to sweep the season series with the Lady Eagles.

Freshman, Liz Capps, led all scorers with 18 points, scoring 14 points in the first half to help SEU to a 32-21 halftime lead. Capps also finished with five rebounds and five assists.

PCC rallied in the second half, knocking down five three-point field goals and forcing the Lady Fire into nine turnovers.

SEU's Karleigh Smoak scored 10 points, adding five rebounds and three steals while Arielle Jadlowski chipped in with nine points and six rebounds.

Tori Robison scored seven points, pulled down four rebounds, and finished with a team high five steals.

Pensacola's Anne Conway and Elisabeth Mostert both scored 11 points apiece while Elisabeth Marino led both teams with 10 rebounds and six steals.

Southeastern improves to 6-11 on the season and will be on the road for their next three games, starting Friday evening when they will travel to Naples, Fla. to face Ave Maria University. Game time is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
