LAKELAND--The Southeastern women's basketball team swept their season series with Webber International, winning 60-42, Saturday night as the Lady Fire clinched the No. 5 seed in the upcoming Sun Conference Tournament.

Southeastern built a 13-point halftime lead (29-16) as they held the Lady Warriors to just 24% shooting while forcing 12 turnovers. And SEU also did a great job of taking care of the basketball, committing a season low three turnovers in the first half.

Webber shot just 29% from the floor in the second half, while Southeastern managed to go 13-of-16 from the free throw line in the second half.

SEU was not able to shutdown Webber's Nikki King, but held all other players in her supporting cast to under 10 points. King finished with 21 points, 17 rebounds, and seven assists.

Southeastern had three players score in double-figures, and was led by Ashley Wilson's 13 points, four rebounds, and three assists.

Freshman, Liz Capps, added 12 points, 13 rebounds, and two assists. Karleigh Smoak finished with 10 points and four rebounds, as she shot 7-of-10 from the free throw line.

Senior, Casey Jensen, scored eight points and pulled down 10 boards.

Southeastern (12-16, 6-8) will now set its sights on The Sun Conference Tournament, beginning Tuesday night, when they will travel to play Warner University.

The Lady Royals are the tournament's No. 4 seed overall. Warner swept the season series from the Lady Fire this year, including a 75-58 victory over the Lady Fire this past Friday night, in Lakeland. Game time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
