Lady Fire Burns Toccoa Falls on Senior Night

Casey Jensen Honored Before Game and Records Double-Double
LAKELAND, Fla.--Southeastern University used a huge second half to run away from Toccoa Falls College, Thursday night, as the Lady Fire burned Toccoa Falls 81-39 on Senior Night in the Southeastern Sportsplex.
Southeastern led only 32-24 at the half, but used a 26-5 run over the first seven minutes of the second half to blow the game wide open. The Lady Fire outscored Toccoa Falls 49-15 in the second half.
The Southeastern defense forced 16 second half turnovers and held the Lady Eagles to just 19% shooting from the field. Toccoa Falls finished with 29 turnovers in the game.
Tori Robison led the Southeastern offense with 19 points, four rebounds, and four assists. Robison knocked down five three-pointers in the game, and she went 5-of-6 from beyond the three-point line.
Senior Casey Jensen added 17 points and 11 rebounds, and she was honored before the game for her outstanding career.
Southeastern also won the battle on the boards, outrebounding Toccoa Falls 47-36 and finishing with 21 assists compared to just four assists for the Lady Eagles.
Liz Capps finished with 12 points, eight rebounds, and five steals, while MacKenzie Messenger had a season-high 10 points and three rebounds off the bench.
Ashley Wilson chipped in with eight points and eight assists for Southeastern.
Southeastern improves to 11-15 overall and will end its 2010-2011 regular season with a pair of home games this weekend. The Lady Fire will host Warner University, Friday night, and then will close out its regular season by hosting Webber International on Saturday night. Both game times are scheduled for 7:00 p.m.

Casey Jensen has appeared in 67 career games at Southeastern and has left an incredible impact on both the women's basketball and volleyball programs.
As a freshman, she averaged 14.2 points and 13.1 rebounds per game. Her 394 total rebounds is the most ever recorded by a true freshman at Southeastern. Jensen ended her freshman year as a First Team All-Region player and an NCCAA II All-American Honorable Mention.
As a sophomore, Jensen once again led the Lady Fire in rebounding and averaged a double-double for the season, scoring 15.2 points and grabbing 11.8 boards per game. She was named an NCCAA II Second Team All-American while once again being named First Team All-Region.
This season Casey has appeared in 18 games as she has split time between basketball and volleyball. She is averaging 6.8 points, and her 8.2 rebounds per game leads this year's team.
Despite missing a full season in 2009-2010, Casey still finds herself fourth all-time on the career scoring list with 837 points. She sits second all-time with 314 offensive rebounds and third all-time with 500 defensive rebounds and 766 total rebounds. Her 11.4 career rebounding average is also good for fourth all-time.
Casey has been a two-sport athlete for Southeastern over her whole career, as she also stars in volleyball for the Lady Fire. This past season she was named First Team All-Conference, becoming the first Lady Fire volleyball player ever to earn this honor within the NAIA's Sun Conference. She finished her career as a two-time NCCAA D-II All-American, and as the school's all-time leader in kills (1,687), games played (549), and solo blocks (284).
Casey is expected to graduate in the spring of 2011 with a degree in sports and recreation management.
