SEU Falls to 3-4 Overall and 0-3 Within Conference Action
BABSON PARK, Fla.--The Southeastern men's soccer team lost their second straight conference game, Saturday evening, this time being shutout by fellow Polk County school, Webber International, 3-0. It was the first game this season that Southeastern has failed to score a goal.
The Warriors led 2-0 at the half as Leonado Cid and Marin Vega scored goals.
Just under two minutes in the second half, Webber's Gonzalo Ruiz scored on a header off of a crossing pass from Michael Dowson for the final goal of the game.
Southeastern outshot the Warriors, 15-13, but could not get a goal past Webber goal keeper, Matthew Brust, who picked up the shutout on six saves.
Fire keeper, David Danahy, made three saves in the game.
Webber is now 2-5-1 overall and 2-2 in conference play.
Southeastern falls to 3-4 overall and is now 0-3 within the conference. SEU will next travel to play Northwood University, Thursday, at 3:30 p.m.
