Late Second Half Goal Sinks Southeastern in Non-Conference Matchup

CLEVELAND, Ga.--The Southeastern Lady Fire soccer team lost a heart-breaker to Truett-McConnell, 1-0, Saturday afternoon in a non-conference game.

TMC's Summer Sutton scored the only goal of the contest just five minutes into the second half on an assist from Lindsay Porter.

Southeastern (2-2, 1-1) goal keeper, Karleigh Smoak, made nine big saves in the match to give the Lady Fire a chance to win.

Hayle Swinson picked up the shutout for the Lady Bears as she made eight saves.

Both teams finished with 18 shots for the match.

Up next for Southeastern, another non-conference game, this time when the Lady Fire will host NCAA D-II Palm Beach Atlantic University, Thursday evening, at 7:00 p.m.
