Southeastern Sweeps Season Series From Lady Cougars

CLEARWATER, Fla.--The Southeastern Lady Fire used a big second half to pull away from Clearwater Christian College, Tuesday evening, as SEU won, 79-50, sweeping their season series from the Lady Cougars.

SEU led, 33-27, at the half, but lit up the scoreboard for 46 points in the second half as the Lady Fire shot 53% from the floor for the half.

Tori Robison hit three three-point field goals while Breckley Neale scored 11 points in the second half to help SEU pull away. Robison finished with 11 points while Neale ended her night with 14 points.

Ashley Wilson led Southeastern with 16 points, six rebounds, and five assists. Wilson shot 6-of-11 from the field and was a perfect 4-for-4 from the free throw line.

Liz Capps had one of her best games of the season, scoring 11 points, grabbing 12 rebounds, dishing out six assists and adding three steals.

Casey Jensen also finished with a double-double, scoring 12 points and pulling down 11 boards.

The Southeastern defense forced 20 turnovers and held the Lady Cougars to just 30% shooting for the game.

The victory improves SEU's record to 8-12 overall, and will next host Johnson & Wales University, Friday evening, at 5:00 p.m.
